The Cornish Willow workshop, on the edge of Bodmin Moor, Cornwall, produces hand-made baskets, sculptures, bentwood furniture and plant supports, all skillfully crafted.
From cutting and drying the willow to the processes involved in shaping each basket and bowl, the care taken here is a wonderful tribute to traditional rural crafts.

Join us for coffee, tea and cakes at Cornish Willow, this year’s willow harvest will be on view.
Willow cuttings for sale, and you can walk around the willow beds.

Frame Baskets
Saturday 24th March 2012 at Roseland Mews Studio - see contact details
10.00am to 4.00pm Cost £38
Frame baskets are made on hoops which are tied together with fine willow. Ribs are then inserted into the basket and willow is woven across this framework. These are good baskets to make if you grow your own willow as both thick and thin willow is needed.
The materials required to make this basket can be supplied by Carol at a cost of £7.50 per person.
